Empowerment was awarded the Quality Performance Mark (QPM) in July 2016 for it's Advocacy service. The award is valid for a period of 3 years. The QPM is designed to provide reliable, robust and thorough means of quality assurance for the diverse sector of independent advocacy following these eight areas; Independence; Clarity of Purpose; Confidentiality; Safeguarding; Empowerment and Putting People First; Equality, Disability and Diversity; Accountability and Complaints; Supporting Advocates.

It is applicible to any organisation working with young people and helps children, young people and adults work together to plan for change.
